About Digi-Lumen
Digi-Lumen Optimum Brand Diodes are built using high-performance San’an Optoelectronics LED chips, which are then custom-packaged by Ledestar Optoelectronics — both leaders in horticultural LED technology.
San’an Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., is the world’s largest LED chip manufacturers and a major wafer foundry headquartered in Xiamen, China, is widely recognised in horticulture for its competitive efficacy, tight binning, and excellent cost-effectiveness. San’an also supplied advanced LED chips to major global brands, including Samsung.
Ledestar Opto-electronic Technology Co., Ltd., a specialised packaging house based in Dongguan with over 17 years of experience, takes the bare San’an dies and transforms them into high-performance horticultural LEDs. For white LEDs, they apply custom phosphor blends; for red LEDs (typically 660 nm), no phosphor is needed, enabling near-direct conversion of electrical power into photons with minimal losses. The dies are then packaged into robust SMD formats, rigorously tested, and fine-tuned specifically for horticultural use.
Digi-Lumen chose this strategic partnership because Ledestar’s expertise ensures our DLX series LEDs deliver outstanding micromole output (PPF/PPE) and superior thermal stability, even under demanding greenhouse conditions. This proven industry model — San’an chip fabrication → Ledestar packaging → Digi-Lumen fixture manufacturing — allows us to offer premium performance at highly competitive prices.
