Initial Setup

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO ENSURE LONG LAMP LIFE AND PREVENT EARLY FAILURE. Metal Halide Lamps consist of a quartz outer jacket and internal arc tube. The inner arc tube operates under high pressure and temperatures up to 1100°C. The outer jacket or inner arc tube can rupture unexpectedly if mishandled or subjected to sudden temperature changes.

Do not spray liquids on the lamp while it is hot. Clean dust or debris from the lamp only when it is cold. Do not apply excessive force during installation. Do not start the lamp if it is hot. Wait until it has cooled down. In case of a brief power failure, wait 10 minutes before restarting to extend lamp life.
